[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] National Immigration Agency (Kinmen County Service Center) held the "Annual Kinmen County New Immigrant Care Online Meeting", inviting the Kinmen District Prosecutors Office, relevant public and private departments within its jurisdiction, and new immigrant network groups to participate. Through the meeting, thematic reports, introduction of laws and regulations, experience exchange and case sharing, the participants are able to deeply understand the needs of new immigrants and integration of resources. Therefore, the network partners can provide new immigrants with more sophisticated services.

During the meeting, NIA specially invited chief prosecutor of the Kinmen District Prosecutors Office, Guo, Jing-Dong, to conduct anti-bribery dissemination for the year-end elections. Thus, the representatives of new immigrant groups can understand Taiwan’s democratic election process and clearly understand the types of bribery and avoid violations of the law. Huang, Yu-Shun, head of Social Affairs Department Kinmen County Government, shared that new immigrants enjoy equal treatment as local villagers before registering in Kinmen, such as holiday bonus with kaoliang liquor, pandemic relief and other related service resources. In addition, Chen, Ya-Ying, counselor of the Kinmen County Employment Service Center, Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, gave a detailed introduction to the center's service projects for new immigrants and the content of vocational training provided by the center this year.

Additionally, the Kinmen County service center also disseminates regulations and important policies, such as the project of Covid-19 vaccination for foreigners, prevention of human trafficking, prevention of the spread of African swine fever, consumer protection for new immigrants, The Harassment Prevention Act, new regulations on the management of electric bicycles, and the changing of the number of the consultation line for foreigners living in Taiwan to 1990, etc., to better serve new immigrants.
Director of Kinmen County Service Center, Liao, Wei-Lan(廖蔚蘭), multi-ethnic society and multiculturalism are both treasure of Taiwan. Through the new immigrants online meeting, NIA continues to look after the new immigrants while integrating the resources and experience of the central and local partners. With the cooperation and promotion of various network units, the service for the new immigrants is more refined and implemented.
