Tourism and Travel Department, New Taipei City collaborated with Tourism Bureau, MOTC, teamed up with more than 20 representatives from travel agencies and tourism businesses, and participated in Taiwan Tourism Promotion Conference in Clark and Manila from June 28 to July 2 in order to promote Taiwan tourism to Filipino travelers. The public and local tour operators will be given recommendations for sightseeing excursions in New Taipei City and northern Taiwan during the promotion conference and Travel Madness Expo (TME).

During the Taiwan Tourism Promotion Conference in Clark and Manila, the Tourism and Travel Department of New Taipei City recommended Route 2 TAIWAN attractions, Bitan, Wulai, Sanxia Old Street, Shen'ao Rail Bike, and international festivals like Christmasland in New Taipei City and Pingxi Lantern Festival in response to the demands of the Philippine market. The Tourism and Travel Department further worked with travel companies to introduce a brand-new trip itinerary to the Philippines, which featured places like Zhengbin Fishing Port, Jiufen Old Street, Taipei 101, Taoyuan Zhong-Zhen Village, and others.
The Poor Traveler and Hazel Quing, two influencers from the Philippines with millions of followers, were also invited by the Tourism and Travel Department of New Taipei City to speak at the TME on their travels in Taiwan.

Filipino visitors to Taiwan are mostly drawn there to experience the varied and rich culture and lifestyle, according to the Tourism and Travel Department of New Taipei City. In addition to continuing to support tourist marketing in northern Taiwan, New Taipei City is actively aiming to promote tourism in East Asia and other markets.
