Indonesian internet celebrity chef Chen Mei-mei 陳美美, [水水印尼媽媽Emak Medan di Taiwan] is very popular among Indonesian and Taiwanese netizens. She is married to a Taiwanese. Chen became quite popular in a short period of time. her content is usually bilingual, providing both Chinese and Indonesian languages where she introduces different kinds of festive cuisine.

One of the editors of [Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network] finally got to meet with Chen Mei-mei. From Medan, Indonesia, Chen Mei-mei realized her chef's dream after marrying her Taiwanese husband. Chen was previously worked in a corporate office as a foreign purchaser. She married at 25 and a few days after her arrival in Taiwan, she began to prepare for the Dragon Boat Festival.

Chen Mei-mei told [Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network]'s editor that she has never worked in a kitchen while she lived in Indonesia. After being married in Taiwan for 20 years, it is now a tradition for her to prepare authentic Taiwanese dishes during the Chinese New Year.
Chen Mei-mei currently works as an Indonesian translator for an HR agency. She only started filming cooking videos in October 2020. After some time, she started her YouTube channel [水水印尼媽媽Emak Medan di Taiwan].
Chen recommended to our editor to visit an Indonesian restaurant called "Pojok Joyo" in Yonghe District, New Taipei City. She said that the food they serve is delicious and that the restaurant is known for its "beef balls".

The restaurant walls are designed with artworks of roosters and hens. The dishes are served in bowls designed with Indonesian noodle stall patterns. Chen mentioned that the flavor brings her back to her hometown in Indonesia. Chen Mei-mei recommended the signature "Indonesian beef ball soup" with your choice of egg noodles or rice noodles. The soup is very authentic and spicy.
Chen also recommends the "天貝Tempe" that is popular among Indonesians. It is made up of fermented soybean and served with green chili.
