Labor Incident Act has taken effect for 2 years since January 1, 2020. It can be seen that the burden placed on laborers who filed a lawsuit has been lessened.
To enable foreign workers working in Taiwan to understand the content of the new system, the Judicial Yuan has launched the "Labor Incident Law Promotion Sheet" in 5 languages including Chinese, English, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian.
It is hoped that by assisting the migrant workers in understanding the new system of the Labor Incident Act better, their labor rights can be protected, and the labor disputes can be solved properly and efficiently.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Labor, there were nearly 700,000 migrant workers in September 2021. This group of people plays an important role in Taiwan’s labor market, and this is therefore their labor rights should be valued and paid attention to.
The Labor Incident Law Promotion Sheets are this distributed to courts at all levels, authorities of Labor & Social Affairs, legal aid and non-governmental social welfare organizations, as well as offices in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries to enhance migrant workers' understanding of the new labor incident system and their own labor rights.

The new system of the Labor Incident Act is to set up labor professional courts, reduce the burden of filing a lawsuit, establish labor mediation procedures, and strengthen the burden of proof to employers. The equality in the procedure is shared among both parties.
The multilingual version of the "Labor Incident Law Promotion Sheet" has been placed on the official website of the Judicial Yuan under the section of "Labor Incident Law". Everyone is welcome to download, read and assist in the promotion.
