To enable more university freshmen to understand the campus life, the National Taiwan Ocean University organized the “2022 online briefing session for foreign students”, providing an opportunity for freshmen and teachers to interact with each other.

The office of the International Affairs of the National Taiwan Ocean University holds talks for foreign freshmen each year, including 66 students from Canada, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Somaliland, Haiti, Iran, and Pakistan. This time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, the virtual talks were held instead. Besides, Jian Dong Ni (簡東尼) from Malaysia, who is studying for a Master’s degree in the English Language, was sharing his experiences of serving quarantines in Taiwan as well as his life in National Taiwan Ocean University.

Xu Tai Wen (許泰文), the Principal of the National Taiwan Ocean University, stated that the school provides a friendly environment for foreign students to learn and do research. Besides, their well-being is taken care of, and cultural exchange activities are organized to promote interactions among teaching staff and students.
