The 2023 Taiwan Climate Action Expo, often known as TWCAE 3, has ended. Many climate scientists, diplomatic envoys, and notable visitors from other nations were invited to take part in several forums throughout the course of the three-day event to debate topics such as 2050 net-zero emissions, environmental sustainability, and climate change.

The International Climate Development Institute (ICDI), National Taiwan University, Taipei City Government, Biodiversity Research Center, Cathay Financial Holdings Co., Ltd., and the British Representative Office in Taiwan are co-organizers of the exhibition, which took place from October 20 to 22 at Taipei Songshan Cultural and Creative Park.
Nearly 20 climate experts, including the VIP delegation of the APEC Climate Center (APCC), four ambassadors from friendly nations like Nauru, Tuvalu, and Palau, and well-known international speakers from South Korea and Japan, participated in the various forums held at this year's expo. They shared their experiences in sustainable urban governance, smart net-zero solutions, and coping with the effects of climate change.
Units from business, government, academia, and research were also invited to this year's expo to collaboratively launch the "Songshan Declaration" from the bottom up. Emani Kumar, the secretary-general of the Asia Low Emission Strategic Partnership (ALP) and four ambassadors from friendly nations of South Island, led the public and private sector units in The Songshan Declaration was jointly released and signed at the opening ceremony, showcasing Taiwan's resolve and ability to take climate action.
Furthermore, Taiwan is scheduled to participate in COP28 in December of this year. At the conference, the "Songshan Declaration" will be formally released in both Chinese and English. Additionally, the responding units that signed the statement together with their carbon reduction commitments and net-zero route will be announced.
