Recently, a Facebook user in the group "FamilyMart / 7-11 Convenience Store New Products & Good Stuff Sharing Zone" shared promotional information about FamilyMart's "SO HOT Bento." The bento includes vegetables, cabbage, eggs, and glass noodles, priced at just 50 NT dollars. Customers can also add grilled or fried meat items like chicken leg or thigh, with combo prices ranging from 89 to 99 NT dollars. This has sparked a heated discussion among dining-out enthusiasts, who noted that convenience store bentos are now even cheaper than those at traditional bento shops.Just buy a NT$50 rice bento, and you can pair it with fried or grilled items. In addition to FamilyMart, PX Mart has introduced the 60 NT dollar "Welfare Bento," featuring options like "Golden Boneless Thick Chicken Fillet," "Thirteen Spice Chicken Breast," "Milkfish Fillet," and "Flavored Squid Fillet." Both 7-ELEVEN and FamilyMart have also collaborated with the Ministry of Agriculture to launch the "Happiness Bento," offering main course bentos at the same 60 NT dollars price point, a value that's becoming increasingly rare at bento shops.

The post immediately generated buzz, with many people expressing surprise: "I used to think convenience stores were expensive, but now they're cheaper than bento shops," and "Bento shops often charge over 100 NT dollars, but convenience stores are more affordable." However, some consumers noted that the availability of grilled and fried items still varies by store.PX Mart continues its "Happiness Meal Box" series, launching the "Meiwei Tang Welfare Meal Box" for just NT$60.
