According to PH jobless rate slightly up to 4.5% in Sept | Inquirer Business, according to a study released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on November 8, the country's jobless rate increased slightly from 4.4 percent in August to 4.5 percent in September.

2.26 million persons were unemployed or out of business in September, according to a countrywide poll of 11,156 homes. This figure is slightly higher than the 2.21 million reported in August, according to the PSA.

The number of adults over the age of 15 who actively looked for work during the month decreased in tandem with the minor increase in unemployment. According to PH jobless rate slightly up to 4.5% in Sept | Inquirer Business, the nation's labor force participation rate decreased from 64.7 percent in August to 64.1 percent in September, according to data.

A decrease in the number of workers looking to increase their working hours in order to increase their income was also recorded by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), which is probably a sign of higher-quality jobs.

According to PH jobless rate slightly up to 4.5% in Sept | Inquirer Business, 5.11 million underemployed persons were reported by the PSA in September, a decrease from 5.63 million in August.

As a result, the underemployment rate decreased from 11.7 percent in August to 10.7 percent in September.
