The NTU's "Hope Plan" released the results at the end of last year, and Yu Huilin got admitted to the Department of Pharmacy of NTU. The president of KLGSH particularly awarded her with a 10,000 NTD scholarship of encouragement. Yu Huilin, who has always performed well at school, was awarded a mayor's award when she was in elementary school, but her father died suddenly of myocardial infarction on the eve of her graduation ceremony. She has later depended on no one but her mother and grandmother.

Yu Huilin got 5 A on the Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students when she was in junior high school and chose to go to the National Keelung Girls' Senior High School nearby. She hoped to have more time to help her family, reduce the burden on her mother, and plan to apply for the ideal university in the future through the Star Plan in Taiwan's College Entrance System. Yu Huilin set a high standard for her academic performance. Not only must she figure out what she had learned in class, but she also asked teachers immediately if there was something that she didn't understand. She got up at 5 a.m. and studied at school until 9 p.m., and with the advice of her mentor, she got admitted to the NTU through the "Hope Plan". During the process, many teachers and classmates had helped and supported her, so she looks forward to giving back what she has learned to society in the future.
