After receiving positive feedback from their collaboration last year on ready-to-eat meals made with domestic seafood, the Fisheries Agency and Uni-President are teaming up again. Starting September 2, over 7,000 7-Eleven stores across Taiwan will introduce two new innovative seafood dishes: "Grilled Squid Rice Ball with Satay Sauce" and "Ginger Sea Bass Soup," catering to consumer demand for quick and innovative meals.

In recent years, responding to the market's demand for quick and creative food options, the Fisheries Agency has been actively supporting the industry in developing various domestic seafood products, such as canned foods, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals. With advances in technology, the preservation quality has been improved. The newly launched products include the "Grilled Squid Rice Ball with Satay Sauce," supervised by chef Wu Bingcheng and his son, made with Argentinian squid caught by Taiwanese fleets. The "Ginger Sea Bass Soup" is a collaboration with the Michelin-recommended restaurant Xinyuan Xiao Liaoli. It features domestically farmed golden sea bass, paired with ginger strips and tofu, offering a nutritious soup ideal for autumn and winter, meeting modern consumers' health-conscious needs.Xinyuan Ginger Sea Bass Soup (Image / Source: Fisheries Agency Website)

Both products can be quickly heated and served, aligning with the lifestyle of Taiwanese consumers who value convenience and deliciousness. The "Grilled Squid Rice Ball" is priced at NT$49, and the "Ginger Sea Bass Soup" at NT$69. Uni-President is also offering over 5,000 discounts through the OPENPOINT App to entice consumers to taste these domestic seafood dishes.

The Fisheries Agency stated that this collaboration with Uni-President continues to emphasize convenience and innovation while meeting the demand for healthy eating. They hope to enhance the market competitiveness and resilience of domestic seafood products through a diverse range of offerings.
