Initiated jointly by National Taiwan University and Harvard University, the "Harvard Taipei Academy" has welcomed close to 60 students to participate. Through Chinese classes, people may learn Chinese while simultaneously deepening their awareness of Taiwanese traditions and culture.

According to the National Taiwan University's Office of International Affairs, Harvard University in the US has been working with NTU since 2020. The journey was put off until this year due to the pandemic. Some students came from prestigious colleges including Yale, Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, and Williams College in addition to Harvard University.

The summer program of Harvard Taipei Academy will design rigorous Chinese classes to raise students' Chinese competence. Additionally, it will set up exchanges with young students in Taiwan to help them expand their perspectives internationally. Additionally, it will set up enriching cultural experience classes and off-campus excursions to take Harvard professors and students to tourist destinations and historical sites in Taiwan so they may appreciate the country's natural beauty and rich culture.
