From July 15 through August 27th, Chaozhou, Pingtung County hosts the 2023 Pingtung Summer Carnival. Water parks, amusing cushions, amusement parks, and magnificent performances are features of the carnival. Admission is free, and the event lasts for a whole month.

The 2023 Pingtung Summer Carnival plans several recreational facilities as well as extending a special invitation to local and international performance groups to present a variety of shows. It drew more than 100,000 participants on the first day.

Every Saturday and Sunday throughout the event, performances by the Taiwanese Paperwindmill Theater, Formosa Circus Art (FOCA), Polish puppet show, African Ghanaian feats, puppet theater, Taiwanese opera, shadow play, and other traditional opera acts will take place. Additionally, there are DIY courses and markets. On August 20, the event's organizer will also organize a concert and invite well-known performers.

Additionally, the general public is invited to take part in the activity of collecting stamps for gifts during the Carnival. To redeem presents, which are limited, just visit the Pingtung Summer Carnival three times and collect three stamps. The Pingtung Summer Carnival runs through August 27.
