On November 17, this year's first cold front came. As the seasons shift, a lot of individuals are getting ready and are progressively taking out their heavy winter coats and blankets. Additionally, pediatrician Jaden (傑登醫師) advised the public of the things to watch out for to avoid allergies or fungal infections after taking out their winter coats and comforters.

Jaden, a pediatrician, recently posted on Facebook for people to wash their long-sleeved winter coat or heavy quilt before using them. Dr. Jaden went on to say that allergies, mold irritation, and fungal infections are the most prevalent reasons why winter clothing and blankets are not cleaned beforehand. He described that these cold clothing and blankets may have served as the foundation of an ecosystem.

Furthermore, Dr. Jaden made the point that simply exposing the blanket to sunshine is insufficient. You still need to wash them even if the sun kills the dust mites since the carcasses are still there and will still cause allergies if you contact or breathe them in. It is advised to wash the dryer again after sterilization since the dead dust mite carcasses will still cause allergy responses if you use it in "sterilization mode" without first washing it.
