Taiwan reports one imported coronavirus case from Philippines yesterday, CECC calls for strict disease control 

 

The CECC reported one new coronavirus case from the Philippines who is in her 20s and came to Taiwan to visit her relatives on July 31, 2020. The case had no symptoms when entering Taiwan on July 31. After receiving a test, her family drove her to a quarantine hotel. She developed a mild fever on August 1 and was diagnosed with Covid-19 on the 2nd. She is now receiving medical care and conducting home quarantine. Health bureaus have been figuring out the case's contacts.

 

So far, a total of 81,932 cases (80,924 of the cases excluded) have been confirmed, of which 475 cases were confirmed, 383 cases were imported, 55 cases were local, 36 cases were from the Dunmu fleet, and 1 case was to be clarified, the CECC stated.

 

The CECC called on citizens to keep a social distance indoor and outdoor and conduct self-health management.
