To help new residents integrate into the local culture and relieve stress, the

China Youth Corps of Tainan City (救國團台南市團委會) organized the 2021 Care activities for New Residents named “Multiculturalism, Blessed Taiwan”, bringing the new residents to visit the historical sites and nature of Tainan City.

A total of 95 new residents have participated in the activities. China Youth Corps of Anping District volunteers and local tour guides bring new residents around cultural attractions. Besides learning the history of Tainan, they also went to Sicao Green Tunnel (四草綠色隧道) of Taijiang National Park (台江國家公園) to admire and better understand the natural ecology of the big mangrove forest while riding on a boat. In addition, sour plum soup and handmade steamed buns are also prepared as meals.

China Youth Corps of Tainan City said that outing activities encourage new residents to get out of their comfort zones and interact with the community and integrate into Taiwan society. It also provides new outlets for women and families to relieve stress. China Youth Corps hopes that by encouraging new residents to participate in various activities, they can adapt well to life in Taiwan.
