The Tourism Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government announced that this year's Cijin Kite Festival will be extended from the end of July to August, and parent-child activities will be held for three consecutive weeks in order to allow more tourists to experience the charm of the Kaohsiung Cijin Kite Festival.

According to the Director of the Tourism Bureau, when the Kite Festival was conducted in Cijin for the first time last year, more than 70,000 people swarmed the city in only two days, causing a significant reaction. The festival lasts for six days this time to meet the expectation of the general public.

The Kite Festival this year included six enormous air cushion water park facilities for the kids to play in addition to the magnificent large kites in the sky. The tourism bureau also expects that by participating in Kite Festival, it would promote tourism, boost local spending, and let people to experience Cijin's energy and passion.
