According to PH Asian Games medalists get incentives worth P41.9M | Inquirer Sports, the government will provide rewards of around P41.9 million to athletes who won gold in the Hangzhou Asian Games, as reported by Malacañang on October 25.

The Filipino athletes will be honored by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.

According to PH Asian Games medalists get incentives worth P41.9M | Inquirer Sports, the Philippine Sports Commission, via the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, would award P19.1 million in rewards to each medalist. The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced in a statement that additional incentives totaling P22.8 million will be given by the Office of the President.

Among the medallists from the Asian Games is EJ Obiena, who won the men's pole vault events and the first gold medal for the Philippines.

The men's basketball team from Gilas Pilipinas achieved a historic victory as well, breaking the Philippines' 61-year gold medal drought at the Asian Games.

In recognition of their demonstrated excellence and accomplishments in their respective sports during the recently concluded 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, all 33 Filipino medalists will receive a Presidential Citation, according to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
