Mike Chinoy from the United States has multiple identities, including an academic researcher, professor, writer, filmmaker, etc., but the most talked-about is his achievements in the field of journalism. 

Mike Chinoy was awarded the Documentary Emmy Awards, CNN Excellence Awards, The George Foster Peabody Awards, etc. Now, he has obtained the R.O.C. (Taiwan) Employment Gold Card as a foreign professional in the field of culture and art.

After graduating from the Department of Chinese Studies at Yale University, he continued to pursue a master’s degree in journalism at Columbia University. Afterward, he devoted himself to journalism jobs in both America and Hong Kong. 

Mike Chinoy has interviewed many prestigious public figures before, including Kim Il-sung (former leader of North Korea), Tung Chee-hwa (former Chief Executive of Hong Kong), and Colin Luther Powell (former United States Secretary of State).

To further promote recruitment & employment of foreign professionals, the “Act for the recruitment and employment of foreign professionals” came into effect on February 8, 2018. 

The R.O.C. (Taiwan) Employment Gold Card came into effect on the same day too. It combines a work permit, R.O.C. (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, Alien Residence Certificate, and re-entry permit.  

Employment Gold Card holders enjoy the benefits of searching for jobs, tax relief, visitor visa for visiting relatives, applying for permanent residence, and joining National Health Insurance.
