Taiwan's representative in the 2023 Mrs. Tourism Queen International took home three awards

Finals of the "2023 Mrs. Tourism Queen International Beauty Pageant" took place in Nongkhai, Thailand, a few days ago. Contestants from the United States, Portugal, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, China, the Philippines, Malaysia, etc. competed. Through this worldwide event, attractive women from 18 nations showcase the most attractive aspects of their home nations' tourist industries. Nan Xiuyuan(南秀圓), a member of the Pinuyumayan who represented Taiwan in the competition, took third place in the category for Mrs. Tourism Queen International, third place in the category for charity ambassadors, and was chosen as the face of the 2023 Mrs. Tourism Queen International magazine's cover.

Since 1994, the Mrs. Tourism Queen International competition has been organized. It is an occasion for nations to promote international travel and a renowned international beauty pageant combined with tourist marketing.

Taiwan's representative Nan Xiuyuan competed in this year's competition wearing Puyuma traditional attire and carrying a Taiwan flag and Taiwan ROC ribbon. The judges praised her outgoing personality, and she was even chosen as the face on the cover of the Mrs. Tourism Queen International magazine for 2023.

As an indigenous person living in Taiwan, Nan Xiuyuan highlighted the qualities of Taiwan's diversity, focusing on native holidays and activities like the Taitung Beinan Hunting Festival. The sights of Taipei 101, Longshan Temple, Penghu Fireworks Festival, and Taitung Hot Air Balloon Festival were also mentioned by Nan Xiuyuan.

Through the international beauty contest, Nan Xiuyuan stated that she hoped to showcase Taiwan's attractiveness while advancing the growth of the international tourist sector and sustainable tourism.
