According to the Child Welfare League Foundation (CWLF, 中華民國兒童福利聯盟文教基金會) in Taiwan, of the 303 elementary schools in remote areas based on their study in June, 12.5% of them reported to have a majority of students having to borrow equipment from school to keep up with the virtual courses.

There is a total of 1,205 schools in Taiwan classified to be in remote areas according to a study by the Educational Internship Information (全國教育實習資訊平台). These schools lacking resources, the government promotes a program involving 8 ministries to boost improve the situation.

Altogether with the government, CWLF has also held a webinar, calling for actions from the public to reach out to students in need.
