The Junior Chamber International Taipei (JCI Taipei), embracing the spirit of "training ourselves, serving others," will host the inaugural "New Taiwan Carnival" on September 7, 2024, at the Flower Expo Park in Yuanshan, Taipei. Co-organized by youth groups and the Taipei City Government, the event aims to address issues related to new residents and the second generation through the power of youth, promoting social inclusion and cultural exchange.

On the day of the event, over 50 international food stalls will gather, allowing citizens to savor global cuisines right in Taipei and quickly experience different cultures. The stage area will feature diverse cultural performances and street artist shows, along with surprise appearances by special guests, adding excitement and joy to the event.

Beyond cultural entertainment, the carnival will also provide substantial support to new residents. Cake Taiwan will assist in matching international talents with companies and offer professional resume writing services to help new residents integrate into Taipei’s job market. The Pearl S. Buck Foundation and Eden Social Welfare Foundation will also join in to help new residents establish a sense of belonging and foster strong interpersonal relationships in society.Elite leaders from the Junior Chamber International Taipei gather to support the 2024 New Taiwan Carnival. Eight departments of the Taipei City Government will set up booths on-site to provide information on legal, social welfare, and public services. Notably, the police department will offer a mini motorcycle experience for children, while the fire department will provide fire suit experiences, allowing participants to learn about new resident issues in a fun atmosphere and receive numerous gifts.

The "New Taiwan Carnival" is more than just a cultural feast; it’s a grand event that cares for society and promotes public welfare. The city government and JCI Taipei warmly invite citizens to join their families, friends, and neighbors to share in this multicultural celebration and spread love and kindness throughout the event.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 7, from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Flower Expo Park’s Floral Plaza in Yuanshan. Tickets can be purchased in advance through a dedicated link, and more event details can be found on the "JCI Taipei" Facebook page.
