Hyangiram Sunrise Festival (Yeosu, Jeollanam-do):
Tourists gather at the stunning seaside to welcome the first light of the New Year and make wishes for the year ahead. Hyangiram, one of Korea's four major Avalokitesvara (Bodhisattva) prayer sites, is known for prayers of peace and happiness.

Homigot Korean People’s Sunrise Festival (Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do):
