New Southbound Dental Medical Talent Training Course, Promote Medical Cooperation and Exchanges in Southeast Asia

In order to deepen the cooperation between Taiwan and New Southbound National Dental Health and lay out Taiwan's oral medical industry, the Ministry of Health and Welfare entrusted Metal Industries R&D Center to handle the "New Southbound Dental Talent Training and Advanced Dental Marketing Program", and recently held a dental implant course together with Chimei Hospital, Kaohsiung Medical University and Southern Science Park, to experience the process of medical device research and development to clinical services.

This training includes 22 dentists from 4 countries including Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam to strengthen the cooperative relationship with professionals in New Southbound countries, and actively promote Taiwan’s dental specialty and link the dental industry.

As of 2022, the program has signed 10 memorandums of cooperation, trained more than 200 dentists and dentistry-related medical staffs, obtained 24 new Southbound countries dental licenses, conducted 5 workshops on the promotion of domestic high-end dental materials in Taiwan, and collected oral health-related policies of various countries, analyzed the dental medical industry and the use of dental materials in Taiwan.

Following the successful completion of the training course, in the future, we will continue to establish channels with new southbound countries, promote the soft power of medical and health services and talent cultivation, promote cooperation, exchanges and sharing resources in the field of dental health between Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries, enhance our country's visibility and strengthen industrial resources output.
