The 2021 Taiwanese referendum will be held on December 18. Starting from today, the public can check on the Central Election Commission website for the places of the designated offices for voting online. Those who relocate the residence after August 9 this year, must still return to the previous residence to vote.

To generate more publicity, the Central Election Commission specially invited the new immigrant & celebrity - Larisa Bakurova to shoot a commercial video. Larisa expressed her excitement as this will be her first time participating in the referendum, and she also shared tips on voting with the public.

The four reminders are as follows.

  • Remember to bring a notice letter for voting, identity card, and stamp.
  • Be sure to use the tool provided by the Central Election Commission to make your choice and avoid invalid ballots.
  • Remember to cast your vote into the ballot box.
  • Follow the epidemic prevention measures of the polling station to protect yourself and others.

The Central Election Commission stated that Larisa put in a lot of effort in learning election terminology despite that she can speak mandarin very well. Besides, the director also revealed that Larisa’s work attitude is truly praiseworthy as she made use of her break to memorize those terms repeatedly.
