The price of aviation fuel has reportedly reached the threshold for increases in domestic flights, as declared by CPC Corporation, Taiwan. In compliance with laws, airlines will also raise the total fee for domestic trips. The end of November is when it is anticipated to go into effect. The Civil Aviation Administration, MOTC noted that in order to lessen passenger discomfort, operators will need to fully disclose pertinent information.

The average price of domestic aviation fuel from September to November of this year, as reported by CPC Corporation, was NT$28.01 per liter on average, which exceeded the NT$27.25 per liter threshold for domestic route freight rate increase, according to the Civil Aviation Administration. Consequently, airlines with effect from November 30, the whole fee increase will be determined by utilizing the MOTC's authorized upper and lower bounds for freight rates, with an average increase of around 4.5% for each route.

In keeping with the route pricing increase, passengers who buy tickets for travel after November 30 before the increase will be reimbursed for the fee difference in accordance with the conditions of their air ticket and airline policies. After the rise, ticket holders won't be allowed to switch to a different flight. If the departure date falls before the increase on November 29, the airline will reimburse the difference in ticket. Additionally, through email and other methods, the Civil Aviation Administration will request that the airline appropriately manage passengers' rights and completely notify them of pertinent information.
