2023 India Spring Festival: Taiwan-India Cultural Exchange in Taipei

The India-Taipei Association (印度台北協會) annually holds the "India Spring Carnival" in several cities in Taiwan to let the locals learn about India. This year, in cooperation with the Taipei City Government, it was grandly held at Civic Square last Sunday (16th), allowing the participating public to experience Indian culture.

Due to the impact of the epidemic, the India Spring Carnival, which has been suspended for four years, is particularly grand this year. There are more than 30 excellent Indian dance troupes on site, giving the public the opportunity to witness gorgeous Indian dance performance.

The carnival also features a variety of Indian cultural booths, including the elegant Saree try-on, the Madhubani painting art workshop, and the traditional body art Henna hand painting common. The participants had the opportunity to sample the most genuine Indian cuisine from several Indian restaurants.

India has a 4,500-year history, according to the president (戴國瀾) of India-Taipei Association, Indian culture will astound people in Taiwan and reduce the gap between India and Taiwan via cultural and economic exchanges, cultural ties between the two countries have progressively expanded in recent years.
