The "2019 Youth Agricultural Ambassador New Southbound Policy Exchange Program", which was jointly held by the COA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has begun the third session. It is expected that 30 agricultural youths take part in a seven-day exchange program in Thailand and India in August. Registration opens from now until June 14.
The Council of Agriculture said that the "Youth Agricultural Ambassador New Southbound Policy Exchange Program" in the past two years have selected 60 outstanding agricultural youth ambassadors to visit Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia respectively, showing a vibrant and professional image during the exchange. It also highlights the issues of Taiwanese youth's enthusiasm for environmental protection and sustainable development of agriculture. In addition to receiving courtesy from the governments, agricultural institutions and agricultural enterprises, it continues to gains high attention from domestic and foreign media.
Comparing to the past two years, 30 agricultural youths will be selected in this (2019) year. They are going to Thailand and India for a seven-day field visit and in-depth exchanges in August to help young people in agriculture-related fields in the country expand their international horizons, establish international connections and participate in international affairs.
