1.5M recoveries nearly 95% of total PH Covid-19 cases

According to [Philippine News Agency PNA], the country’s total number of recovered coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases has reached 1,506,027 after 5,930 new recoveries were reported on Sunday.

In the latest case bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH), the accumulated recovery tally accounts for 94.3 percent of the total 1,597,689 infections since the start of the pandemic last year.

Meanwhile, 8,735 new infections brought the total number of active cases to 63,646 or 4 percent of total cases.

About 94 percent of these active cases are mild, 1.3 percent are asymptomatic, 1.2 percent are critical, 2.1 percent are severe, and 1.45 percent are moderate.

According to [Philippine News Agency PNA], a total of 127 new deaths were also reported, pushing the country’s total number of Covid-19 fatalities to 28,016.
