The Songkran Festival, which takes place in Southeast Asia from April 13 to 15, is the largest annual event in Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and even Yunnan. This year, the Songkran Festival staged in several locations are especially significant due to the epidemic's over. Songkran represents washing away the difficulties of the past and welcoming in a new year in addition to bathing and worshiping the Buddha.

The city in Taiwan with the highest concentration of migrant worker is Taoyuan. Taoyuan City planned a series of holidays for three consecutive weekends in April in Taoyuan District, Dayuan District, and Zhongli District in order to accommodate the vacation time of migrant workers and new immigrants. The Songkran holiday offers Taiwanese nationals the chance to enjoy the Thai New Year Songkran Festival as well as a chance for new immigrants and migrant workers to celebrate the festivities from their hometowns.

The Migrant Worker Service Center Taoyuan City (桃園市移工服務中心) hosted a full-day event on April 9th at the plaza of the Taoyuan New Immigrant Culture Hall (新住民文化會館廣場) and the Taoyuan Railway Station. Monks will sprinkle water as a kind of blessings-seeking, and Thai friends will also perform their art. The "2023 Taoyuan Thai Songkran Festival," which is being co-organized by the Taoyuan City Government and the Thailand Trade and Economic Office, will thereafter begin on the 16th at the Taoyuan Sunlight Arena. You may take in traditional Thai dances, musical performances, and takraw ball on the day in addition to the blessing ritual. Additionally, there are Thai food stands and drawings for prizes in the event.

The "Longgang Rice Noodle Festival" with its distinctive Yunnan-Myanmar-Thai culture, water-splashing blessings, torch parties, and foreign cuisine events will also take place in Zhongli, Taoyuan, on April 22. People may participate in all of the Songkran Festival's cultural events without traveling overseas thanks to the events in April.
