According to The Star, when the temperature rises, we begin to perspire, therefore if at all possible, we seek out a shady place and have some cool drinks. 

What about our pets, though? Are there any methods to help them cope with the heat a little better? The German Animal Welfare Federation notes that many animal species do not perspire like humans do. The following are some tips to help animals stay cool.

Provide a shady place

Pets kept in cages need a spot to escape the scorching heat during warm weather. Besides, expert also advise that cool packs wrapped in clothes or wet towels can be laid on the floor for pets to lower their body temperature.

Mix pet food with water

When the weather is hot outside, it's crucial to frequently top up the container with fresh drinking water.

A German publication suggests adding unseasoned chicken broth to water to make the food more enticing to cats since many of them don't drink much. Another fantastic approach to make sure pets are properly hydrated in hot weather is to mix water with canned food.
