The third seminar of the “SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now” series will be held on June 30 (Sunday) at the lecture hall of the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (KMFA).
According to Yahoo News reportage, the third lecture seminar “learning about Southeast Asia”, will invite Chen Ailing (陳愛玲), known as the Queen of Spices to give a lecture, lead everyone to learn and enjoy the countries of spices, as well as knowing the kingdom of spices, Southeast Asia.
Chen Ailing came from Penang, Malaysia. She is working as a translator for more than 10 years in Taiwan, helping many people who refer to the translation. Under these circumstances, she was unexpectedly invited to one of the course called “Eat Spicy and Fragrance, talk about Southeast Asia Culture” in Kaohsiung First Community College, therefore she opened her study of the Southeast Asian diet through that way.
This seminar will lead you to know about the dishes in Southeast Asia, introduce the essence of the dishes – spices, how to integrate the Southeast Asian spices into Taiwanese dishes, etc. If you interest on it, you are welcome to participate.
