Five winners awarded at 11th Presidential Culture Awards ceremony

Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network】According to the Ministry of Culture, the 11th Presidential Culture Awards ceremony, organized by the General Association of Chinese Culture, was held on Nov. 30.

The five winners awarded this year include film director Ang Lee (李安), physician Chen Rong-chi (陳榮基), founder of HRC Dance Studio (HRC舞蹈工作室) Bojin Chen (陳柏均), the Dr. Chen Wen-chen Memorial Foundation (財團法人陳文成博士紀念基金會), and the Taiwan Thousand Miles Trail Association (社團法人台灣千里步道協會).

Ang Lee (李安), who won the "Arts and Culture Award (文化耕耘獎)," expressed that he is proud of being part of Taiwanese culture and will continue to work diliegently in the future.

Founder of HRC Dance Studio Bojin Chen (陳柏均) was the recipient of the "Creativity and Innovation Award (青年創意獎)." He expressed in tears of joy that he was able to gain his father's approval because of this award.

The Humanitarian Dedication Award went to physician Chen Rong-chi (陳榮基), who is highly regarded as the "Helmsman of Peace" by Taiwan's medical world. He pointed out that this award gave recognition to the promotion of hospice care and life care services in Taiwan.

Dr. Chen Wen-chen Memorial Foundation was the winner of the "Public Advocacy Award (社會改革獎)" while the "Community Building Award (在地希望獎)" went to the Taiwan Thousand Miles Trail Association (TMI Trail). Chief executive officer Chou Sheng-hsin (周聖心) of TMI Trail expressed his hope that through the promotion of low-carbon transportation, nature lovers all over the world will be able to notice Taiwan's soft power.
