The "Kaohsiung Christmas and New Year's Eve Carnival" will take place this year, marking the first time that the two major holidays—Christmas and New Year's Eve—would be combined. This announcement was made by the Kaohsiung City Government. The celebration will feature a 20-meter-tall Christmas tree, as well as the Christmas markets and discounts for it, in addition to inviting other singers to the stage from Christmas through New Year's Eve. Ultimately, the Dream Mall will host a New Year's Eve celebration on December 31 with fireworks.
