Basic salaries increase and various subsidies

Taoyuan Airport MRT system provides 50% off discount prices for elderly passengers

Taoyuan Airport MRT launched a new discount promo for elderly passengers. This is also great news for foreign nationals in Taiwan. Passengers above 65 years old and owning a residence permit can enjoy half-price discounts for one-way tickets. Arrange a health check before hiring foreign workers

The Ministry of Labor (MOL) reminds employers to arrange health checks when hiring foreign workers. Health checks must bs schedules 7 days within the date of employment. Employers must cooperate especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Violators may face fines from NT$60,000 up to a maximum of NT$300,000.
