National Immigration Agency of the Ministry of the Interior's "IFI Network" has a podcast program called "XIN TAI KE cha cha" that allows anybody to discuss their experiences in Taiwan, whether they are native Taiwanese, new immigrants, migrant workers, or international students. Vietnamese women Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua (阮氏芳花) and her daughter are invited to share their experience of making Taiwan their second home in this episode.

In Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua first had a position as a translator. She met and fell in love with a Taiwanese spouse thanks to the chance to work, and they went on to have a family. She delayed moving to Taiwan at the time, until her eldest daughter was going to attend school. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua made the decision to settle in Taiwan for her daughter to benefit from Taiwan's educational system.
Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua said that because of work, her spouse was unable to travel with her, so he left by herself with their two kids. The parents-in-law in Taiwan greeted them with open arms and would also assist share the care of the kids, which greatly helped Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua feel at peace despite the fact that leaving the familiar homeland was frightening.
The cultural contrasts made Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua's eldest daughter uneasy when she went to school. As a result, Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua suggested a strategy to the instructor in an effort to accompany her kid to class before it started.

The eldest daughter also mentioned in the interview that she has progressively adjusted to the school setting, but that she still prefers the Vietnamese cuisine prepared by Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua the most. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua also often prepares home-style meals for the kids.
After moving to Taiwan, Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua's life has not always been easy. When dealing with life's pressures, there are no friends to confide in. Thankfully, Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua has started interacting with other Taiwanese moms and taking part in NIA activities. Through free classes, get an understanding of Taiwanese culture and lifestyle.

And Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua added that she learned from talking to other families that every family faces unique challenges. Since she herself has faced challenges in the past and received support from a variety of sources, she now hopes to use her own strength to assist others.
Nguyen Thi Phuong Hua thanked all departments and individuals of the Taiwanese government for providing their family with resources and assistance at the conclusion of the event and shared her personal experience with the audience. She wished that other new immigrant fellows in similar circumstances would speak up fearlessly and allow Taiwan to serve as their second warm home.
