According to Bongbong Marcos vows support to families of Filipinos slain in Israel | Inquirer News, on October 12, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. pledged to give the families of Filipinos lost in the Israel-Hamas war his fullest assistance.

After speaking with the relatives of the two Filipinos who were proven to have perished in an intense fight in Israel, he made the announcement.

According to Bongbong Marcos vows support to families of Filipinos slain in Israel | Inquirer News, the two Filipino casualties were a 42-year-old man from Pampanga and a 33-year-old female caregiver from Pangasinan who had worked in Israel for six years, according to information previously provided by the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv.

According to the embassy, the two died on Saturday, October 7, during Hamas's unexpected strike in southern Israel.

According to officials, DNA testing is still being done by the government to determine whether a third Filipino killed in the fighting.
