Chang Shie Khim (曾詩琴), a new immigrant from Malaysia, often visits the beach with her family to observe intertidal creatures and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create a database for classifying marine species. The themes of Chang Shie Khim's picture books are based on her personal recollections of her birthplace, and she is also a picture book author.

According to Chang Shie Khim (曾詩琴), after completing high school, she attended a university in Taiwan. She later married her spouse and made Taiwan her home. The family frequently went on intertidal zone excursions on weekends. She is always saddened by the actions of numerous visitors who harm the marine ecosystem. She believes that the marine resources won't be depleted if there are alternatives to this fishing activity. Chang Shie Khim therefore wants to employ scientific AI technology as a tool to help the general public grasp the rich ocean ecology. She thinks that the best way to protect the ocean is to understand it.

In order to carry out her goal to create an AI recognition database, Chang Shie Khim (曾詩琴) frequently brought her husband and two kids to the intertidal zone. According to Chang Shie Khim, it takes 1,000 images to capture a single image of a species, 500 of those photos must be chosen for AI recognition, and a module test must be carried out. The database may then be assembled and posted to the website after it is finished. After that, all you have to do to upload the photo is scan the QR Code with smartphone, and AI will instantly recognize more than 20 related marine animals.

Chang Shie Khim is also a picture book writer, "Pokok Rambutan" and "Jamuan Khaoyam," two of her well-known picture books, are among her accomplishments. "Pokok Rambutan" mostly reminds her of the time when she planted trees with her father when she was a little child to remember her father, who had died away. In addition to describing feelings among family members, "Jamuan Khaoyam" also communicates care for the environment.
