Taiwan has been striving to promote the Chinese language to the world. Recently,Taipei Economic and Culture Mission in Ankara held the "Taiwan Traditional Chinese Characters Cultural Camp" for its second year, inviting children of the overseas community in Turkey. Besides getting to know Taiwan more, the general public in Turkey can also learn about the traditional Chinese that presents the beauty of Taiwanese culture.
Even with COVID-19 outbreak, the Overseas Community Affairs Council, Republic of China stated that the public’s enthusiasm for class registration has not diminished.
Branch schools were established, and the number of students has increased to more than 40. This time, the Cultural Camp was held in Antalya, southern Turkey. At the same time, the film Lokah Laqi (只要我長大) exploring aboriginal children in Taiwan was shown during the opening ceremony. 17 participants could learn about Taiwan’s culture, and this also deepens the relationship between Turkey and Taiwan.

In addition, this is the first time that the "Children's Chinese Language Proficiency Test" was organized during the camp. Taipei Economic and Culture Mission in Ankara has been holding the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (TOCFL) for the past 6 years and the children’s language test was added to promote Turkish school children’s Chinese language ability, developing the trend of Chinese language learning.
