The Chiayi City Government has meticulously planned the "Insects Arrive in Chiayi~ Insect Ecology Camp," which was grandly held in early August at the Lantan Campus of National Chiayi University. This event aims to introduce children to Taiwan's rich biodiversity in a fun and engaging way while educating them about the crucial role insects play in the natural world. The goal is to foster a love and concern for ecological conservation in young students and to instill the concept of sustainable development from an early age.

The event not only allows children to connect with nature but also provides various interactive sessions where they learn how to care for the environment and protect biological resources. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with other children from across the city, build friendships, and explore the mysteries of the insect world under the guidance of entomology experts. They will learn how insects survive and the challenges they face. The event hopes to create lasting childhood memories by combining education with entertainment. The event is open to students in the third grade and above from elementary schools in the city. It is divided into two sessions, with 50 participants per session. Participation is completely free, but spots are limited. (Image / Courtesy of Chiayi City Government)

The Chiayi City Government and the co-organizer, the Department of Plant Medicine at Chiayi University, look forward to joining you in contributing to ecological conservation, becoming guardians of nature, and protecting our precious planet.
