Taipei MRT Corporation has collaborated with Yookee Corporation to install vending machines in the lower hall of Exit 1 at Ximen Station, offering a service that allows the public to enjoy a hot bowl of ramen in just 90 seconds. The vending machine introduces a well-known Japanese ramen brand and is equipped with advanced automated technology that cooks without human intervention. It supports electronic payment methods, including EasyCard, making the operation simple and convenient.

This "unmanned self-service ramen machine," designed in Taiwan, has entered the global market and is now available in Europe, America, and various parts of Asia, providing Japanese ramen to local food lovers. According to consumers who have tried it, the ramen cooked by this machine rivals the taste of chef-prepared ramen, offering a rich and flavorful experience comparable to handmade versions. "Unmanned self-service drink machine" – Robotic arm shakes up drinks, ready to enjoy.  In addition to the ramen machine, there is also a "self-service drink machine" equipped with a robotic arm to make hand-shaken drinks. Consumers can watch the precise operation of the robotic arm while waiting for their cold beverage. A variety of drink options provide a refreshing experience, perfect for quenching thirst on hot summer days."Unmanned self-service drink machine" – Robotic arm shakes up drinks, ready to enjoy. The overall setup incorporates Japanese elements, with the ramen machine surrounded by torii gates and traditional Japanese street scenes, creating an authentic Japanese atmosphere that attracts visitors to take photos. There is also a dining area for people to rest and enjoy their food. In the future, this service is expected to expand to more MRT stations to meet broader demand.

This initiative is promoted through the "MRT Commercial Development Strategic Alliance Cooperation Plan," aiming to test new business models in real-world settings, enhance space utilization efficiency at MRT stations, and boost company revenue. Currently, partner companies have also begun cooperation with Singapore's Enterprise Singapore (ESG), to install 100 self-service ramen machines in Singapore within two years. Taipei MRT will continue to optimize commercial space configurations and introduce more diverse business models to further enhance passenger shopping experiences.
