In corporation with the policy implemented by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) to increase the vaccination rate, the Ministry of the Interior National Immigration Agency (NIA) promotes the “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” that encourages foreign nationals, including undocumented migrant workers and overstayers to receive free vaccination.
National Immigration Agency (Taoyuan County Service Center) collaborated with NIA Taoyuan Brigade and Department of Public Health, Taoyuan and a vaccination site was set up at designated clinics and Taoyuan Railway Station for 3 consecutive days from December 17 to 19.

The Taoyuan City Service Station encourages foreigners stranded in Taiwan to administer vaccines through NGO groups. The NGO groups consulted the service station, and the service station proceeded to assist in making appointments for the migrant workers. On December 17, 102 people were successfully vaccinated.
One of the unaccounted-for workers, A Jin (nickname), said that the service station provides caring and convenient services. He also mentioned that he will inform this project to his friends also encouraged them to get vaccinated as soon as possible. He is glad that he could protect himself as well as others by being vaccinated.

Huang Ying Gui, the Director of Taoyuan City Service Station said that for people who missed the aforementioned vaccination dates, one can still contact the National Immigration Agency (Taoyuan County Service Center) before January 31, 2022 (the date might vary in accordance with the adjustment of the epidemic prevention policy). The service station will assist in tabulation of names, and the individuals just need to follow the notice and travel to the designated location for vaccination.
The “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” adopts “won’t be reported”, “won’t be seized”, “won’t be charged for any fee”, “won’t be banned” that encourage foreigners to get vaccinated with peace of mind.
