This year, the New Taipei Labor Bureau commissioned six agencies to handle free home guidance for foreign workers’ caring skills services, and divided into the long-term care centre professionals for the elderly in Hang-An Nursing Home, Eden Foundation, National Taiwan University Hospital Jinshan Branch, Guan En Elderly Nursing Center, Chang Chunteng Home Care, and Commonwealth Foundation.

Last year, the family through the New Taipei Long-term Care Management Center applies for the foreign labor care skills guidance services. Originally, Grandpa Wang could not walk from the bed, with the professional guidance skills, mobile care and professional care attendants, Grandpa Wang now can walk slowly to his family.
In addition, 7 group study courses were launched, a small class of 10 people who are working through the community or hospital, not only let the foreign care takers to learn in the community meeting room that close to their home, but they also can observe each other teaching group to ensure the quality of teaching.
The head of New Taipei Labor Bureau, Chen Ruijia (陳瑞嘉) said, in recent years “home guidance for foreign workers’ caring skills” services has been welcomed by the public, gives a better care services for the caretakers, reduce the occupational injuries that may be caused by the improper external techniques, at the same time also enjoy the long-term resources of the Health Bureau.
Public can use the professional services of long-term care 2.0, those who have been assessed to meet the disability level, could let the professionals to come to the house, in order to provide the disability, nutritional care, home care, home rehabilitation, and other services.
