Taiwan Immigrants' Global News Network】The first delivery robot in Taiwan “Cubot ONE” debuted in Kaohsiung technology park on February 22.   Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and 7-Eleven’s parent company announced that people would be able to enjoy robots delivered from March 1 in Kaohsiung technology park and the trial run would be a year.

The functions of the delivery robot include navigating inside and outside of buildings, obstacles avoiding, and using elevators.  The robot will receive the order from the App “foodomo”, and people don’t need to stand in line or wait, just using the App   

MOEA Special Committee on Technology member Chang Neng-kai (張能凱) said that global demand for service robots had grown rapidly in recent years.  The first delivery robot is just the beginning.  This kind of technology will be applied to more and more fields, such as hospitals, restaurants, and stores, and make life more convenient.
