Taipei City Foreign and Disabled Labor Office Offer Health Examination for New Residents

The temperature drops as autumn comes which is also the peak of catching flu. Taipei City Foreign and Disabled Labor Office provided the third health examination caring event for new residents on 20th, October.

The health examination caring event started from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at the space of exit West 1 to North 3 in the Taipei Main Station and assisted by the health care workers from TIMA(慈濟人醫會) and Taipei City Hospital (臺北市立聯合醫院). The health examination includes height, weight, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, eyes, mouth tests, and dental treatment. Also, the new residents can receive health examination from ophthalmology, dermatology, dentistry, internal medicine, gynecology, orthopedics, physical and mental medicine and Chinese medicine. In addition, there are free haircuts and other related services.

Director of Taipei City Foreign and Disabled Labor Office Yeh Hsiu-shan (葉琇姍) stated that there are over 40,000 migrant workers assists for household chores in Taipei City. This event helps migrant workers who are not familiar with the languages in Taiwan to do the basic health and dental examination. They can receive drug diagnose with skin problems and accept more medical assistance after the health examination. Taipei City Foreign and Disabled Labor Office holds a number of activities to bring employers in harmony with migrant workers.
