Guliu playground in Qingshui Aofengshan Park, Taichung, has recently opened. The site has 34 slides and features a large slide-based play space rarely seen in Taiwan. It includes musical slides, a 28-meter long slide, elevated walkways and multi-level climbing facilities, giving families another weekend recreation option in Taichung's coastal area.

Unlike many themed parks that focus on one major play structure, Guliu playground is designed around multiple slides and layered spaces. Children can move among slides of different heights and forms, tree-like structures and multi-level platforms. The musical slide adds sound interaction, while the 28-meter slide offers older children a more exciting play option.

The playground uses universal design, with accessible paths and gentle slopes. It also combines existing fitness equipment and shaded green space to meet the needs of seniors, people with disabilities and families. Existing trees were kept during construction, with shade facilities and greenery added to reduce discomfort from sun exposure.

As part of Taichung's park improvement plan, the site also has a climate information board showing on-site temperature and humidity, helping parents judge how long to stay. With growing demand for short family outings, the new playground adds a large outdoor recreation space for Qingshui residents and families from other districts.
