The 11th Taichung Souvenirs Festival started on 14th at Taichung City Hall Square. It attracted over 10,000 people to vote and 100 souvenirs shops which were selected to set a stand. The voting results were released today, and the winners were awarded by Mayor Lu Shiow Yen. Among them, the HWC Black Flurry Cake won the first prize and Best Popularity Award, the essential oil soap, the facial mask, and the wood chips pen were also on the list.
Taichung City Government Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committee stated that the 11th Taichung Souveniers Festival included Oklao Drip Bag Coffee Travel Pack, June 1st, the HWC Black Flurry Cake Gift Box, the Pig Lady Bakery Phoenix Egg Roll- the Chapter of Taichung, Idodo Pineapple Pastry with Yolk, the Colorful Ninbo Cook, and the Royal.7win Taro Walnut cake. The non-food items on the list were Danchung Lucky Station Gift Box, Artists Facial Masks, Chingwood Handmade Workshop- Taichung Beautiful Buildings.
Best Popularity of the Day Award was given to Oklao Drip Bag Coffee Travel Pack and the HWC Black Flurry Cake Gift Box; Best Online Popularity Award was given to the HWC Black Flurry Cake Gift Box and O-NONG Taro Cake.
Taichung City Government Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committee stated the 11th Taichung Souveniers Festival attracted 178 shops to join, and 100 shops among them were selected out after evaluated by the committee. Lastly, 7 shops of food products and 3 non-food shops won the awards. Every shop had contributed to the design of its products combined their brands' characteristics and the local culture of Taichung. Hence, every product that was selected out was representative of Taichung City and represents the city's characteristics that Taichung was proud of.
