Taiwan's most anticipated outdoor lifestyle event, "Kaohsiung Wild Wild Outdoor Life," will be held on November 2 and 3 on the grassy fields of the Weiwuying Arts Center. Last year’s event drew 120,000 attendees, and this year promises an even bigger scale, allowing participants to enjoy a stylish camping experience in the cool autumn air. Director Kao Min-Lin of the Kaohsiung Tourism Bureau and Wen-Bin Chien, the artistic director of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, unveiled this year’s exciting highlights, drawing outdoor enthusiasts from across Taiwan."The highlight of this year's event is the debut of 'Bamboo-Cooked Wilderness Feast.' "Kaohsiung Wild Wild Outdoor Life" centers around four main themes: "Camping," "Lifestyle," "Music," and "Sustainability." With a variety of activities including outdoor cooking, a gourmet market, hands-on workshops, and live music, everyone can find something they enjoy. Popular activities from last year, such as ziplining and rope walking, are back, along with new experiences like a paracord survival workshop, handmade scented candles, and DIY floral crafts, providing fun for all ages.
This year also introduces "Bamboo Cooking," where skilled chefs prepare food onsite, letting attendees enjoy BBQ-style dishes without needing to build a fire. For food lovers, there will be over 40 popular food stalls, including Nissausage, Kaiji Lab, and Yusong Egg Waffles, to satisfy every taste. There will also be over 30 camping equipment vendors and 15 stylish campervans, creating a unique marketplace to explore while enjoying the food. This year, over 40 food market stalls await everyone to come and enjoy. For those who love fitness and relaxation, bring a yoga mat for a nature yoga session on the grass to connect with the earth. If you're looking for a relaxing afternoon, you can book a styled tent lounge to enjoy a chill camping vibe without setting up your own tent.
The Tourism Bureau emphasizes that the event not only showcases the latest in camping lifestyle but also promotes sustainable camping practices. Through eco-friendly workshops and camping gear displays, the event fosters a connection between environmental protection and camping culture, creating a guide for green and sustainable outdoor living.
