Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) organized “Dear Hometown, How Are You?” (親愛的家鄉,你好嗎?) for numerous new immigrants who are unable to return to their hometown due to COVID-19 epidemic.

"Dear Hometown, How Are You?" 2021 National New Immigrants and Second-generation Immigrants Graphic and Text Competition last year were published in a volume.

President Tsai, Ing-Wen(蔡英文) expressed gratitude to DDP Women for organizing this activity. Today, the number of new immigrants and the second-generation immigrants in Taiwan has exceeded 1 million, the new immigrants are already valued family members in Taiwan.

President Tsai, Ing-Wen(蔡英文) said in the speech that she agrees that in the past 400 years, we have been an immigrant society. We are still embracing new immigrants from the world. New immigrants and the second-generation immigrants will also be part of Taiwan 400 years later.
