The popular Kintetsu mascot, Abeno Bear, is now riding the Taipei MRT! From now until the end of June 2025, the Taipei MRT × Kintetsu Group themed train will operate on the Wenhu Line. Taipei MRT members can use the "Taipei MRT Go" app to track the train’s location in real time and enjoy exclusive Kintetsu discounts. Each car of the themed train features a different famous Kintetsu sightseeing train. The four cars are themed after SHIMAKAZE, AONIYOSHI, Blue Symphony, and the HINOTORI express. Abeno Bear introduces popular attractions along the train routes, such as Ise-Shima, known for Ise Jingu Shrine and its nostalgic scenery; Nara, home to many national treasures, cultural assets, and free-roaming deer; the UNESCO-listed Yoshino; and the cities of Osaka and Nagoya, perfect for revisits. In August this year, Taipei MRT and Japan's Kintetsu Group signed a friendly cooperation agreement. The "Taipei MRT Go" app’s Go!Map feature includes Kintetsu’s rail network and travel information, offering special discounts for members such as 30% off tickets for the Gozaisho Ropeway, 10% off entry to the HARUKAS300 Observatory, and 10% off dining at Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel, among other great Kintetsu deals.
