To welcome the arrival of summer vacation, the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau has prepared two consecutive weeks of the "2024 Cijin Kite Festival and Inflatable Water Park Activities" to bring joyful summer times to children and adults alike. This event, themed "Kaohsiung Bear's Ocean Party," features a variety of marine creatures such as whales, giant octopuses, and sea turtles, along with various themed kites, against the beautiful backdrop of Cijin's sky and sea. The magnificent scene of over a hundred kites flying together is not to be missed.
The inflatable water park is a paradise for children. This year, it will remain open until 8 PM and transform the yellow ball pool from last year's Kaohsiung Lantern Festival into a water play pool, allowing children to enjoy playing in the cool water all day long. Taking the ferry to and from Cijin to play in the sand and surf is the best way to experience summer's coolness.

Cijin, nestled by the mountains and the sea, offers a wide-open view. Whether you are enjoying the kites up close on the beach at Cijin Seaside Park or looking down at the spectacular kite scenes from Kaohsiung Lighthouse and Qihou Fort, it's a rare visual treat. You can also see the kite performances from different angles while taking the ferry from Gushan to Cijin. This event also specially invites Fo Guang Shan Temple's auspicious dragon lantern to present a spectacular scene of dragons flying in the sky, adding more visual surprises for the visitors.

The Cijin Kite Festival is the only kite festival in Taiwan where you can play from morning to evening. During the day, there are themed kite performances, and at night, luminous kites take the stage. Every Sunday, there is an additional fire dance performance, adding more excitement and festivity to the event. The popular inflatable water park features new inflatable designs this year, with the yellow ball pool from the winter amusement park now transformed into a water play pool, not to be missed. This year's inflatable water park is open until 8 PM for the first time, allowing both adults and children to enjoy the summer coolness. From 2 PM to 8 PM, eight inflatable attractions offer fun for the whole family to cool down.
This event also invites the celebrity couple Yu Sida and Mou Yun-Jie to lead everyone on a tour of Cijin. The exciting daytime kite performances and large inflatable amusement facilities suitable for family fun are available for visitors to participate in for free. Limited DIY Kaohsiung Bear kite painting and kite flying experiences are also provided, allowing children to learn and have fun at the same time.
This year's Cijin Kite Festival is not only a dual enjoyment of kites and inflatable water parks but also a perfect family outing. The day's activities allow everyone to find their happy moments.
